LIVE! on Elgin presents: The Last of the Duke Street Kings! One of North America’s premiere Bruce Springsteen Tribute Shows.
In his intense, poetic and heartfelt songs inspired by folk, rock and alternative music John Ian tells stories, observes and ponders. Things may at times look somber in his songs but never hopeless. Despite the sadness and madness in this world there always is a way out of the darkness into the light.
The Last of the Duke Street Kings:
Based in Montreal, The Last of the Duke Street Kings is one of the premier Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tributes in North America. This is no simple cover band—they stage authentic reproductions of live concert performances and studio releases by the original group. And they are not limited to only the classic hits—from the first album to the latest projects, the Dukes also offer a unique selection of Boss songs unreleased except in anthology and left off the set lists of other Springsteen tributes. An eight-piece group with occasional extras, every E Street member is represented in the Dukes, including varied instruments like violin and lap steel guitar. Their dynamic, precise, and energy-filled shows have been stunning audiences in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and beyond. If you are looking for a real Springsteen experience, this is where you’ll find it short of the Boss himself!
