Thanya Iyer is an enigmatic songwriter who crafts sparkling experimental pop music. Her live trio wields acoustic and electronic instruments to flesh out these serene, spiritual compositions. Thanya and the band’s arrangements empower listeners to embrace mindfulness, aesthetic beauty and the interconnectedness of all things. They are currently working on releasing their visual album “Kind” in the spring of 2019.
Montreal-based dark folk artist Delorca is the solo project of Australian singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Simone Pitot. The sound is a conversation between the romance of the gothic and the terror of the human condition; soaring ethereal vocals meet electronic darkness; intimate emotion meets stark power. Delorca presents the genre of witchcore at its essence and revels in the beauty of the unknown. Delorca also sings for Montreal goth rock powerhouse, TONNES.
An off-shoot of Ottawa art-rock collective Pony Girl, mal/aimé take the band’s experimental chamber sound and run with it, combining clarinet, guitars, and percussion with synths, drones and electronics. As a recording project, the trio’s output focuses primarily on etudes that experiment with short moments in time, unbound by the structural rules of their live performance.
