CHORD Productions & Mavericks Present
Soulfly as Nailbomb:
(Max Cavalera, Marc Rizzo, Zyon Cavalera and Mike Leon Performing the classic album “Point Blank” in its entirety)
Nailbomb was a metal band formed in 1994 as side project by Brazilian musician Max Cavalera of Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly and English musician Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel. The band recorded one studio album, Point Blank, and played one live performance before disbanding the next year.
Today Is The Day: (Extreme Metal from Orlando, The End Records)
Led by visionary frontman Steve Austin, Today Is The Day reigns as one of the most unique and influential bands of the past two decades. The band’s violent and anthemic style, which blends metal, noise, psychedelia, and rock, has won worldwide acclaim ever since the debut album, Supernova, first hit in the early 90s. Nine studio albums have been released on such labels as Amphetamine Reptile and Relapse — including modern-day classics like Willpower, Temple of the Morning Star, and In the Eyes of God — and the band’s changing lineup has included such musicians as Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, who would later go on to form Mastodon. Today Is The Day has toured the world with Motorhead, Helmet, The Melvins, Morbid Angel, Converge, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Eyehategod, Unsane, Coalesce, and many more. Steve Austin has also made a name as a producer, helping create seminal albums for Lamb Of God, Converge, Deadguy, and more.
Lody Kong: (Sludge/Punk from Phoenix)
Formed in Phoenix, Arizona by brothers Igor and Zyon Cavalera in 2011. The band recorded their first demo only months after the formation of the group. In 2012 Lody Kong did extensive touring of the U.S. and Europe, as well as recorded a four song EP entitled “No Rules.” Over the following years, the band wrote and recorded their first full length album, had extensive lineup changes and signed to Mascot Label Group. The album, titled “Dreams and Visions”, was released on March 25th, 2016, and it showed new capabilities of the otherwise noisy group. Lody Kong blends a fusion of sludge, old school punk and psychedelic stoner metal. Embodying crunching guitars, fuzzy bass lines and dominating drum beats, the band’s sound and direction is crushing formal boundaries.
