The Master Piano Recital Series continues its 2017/18 season with Richard Raymond.
The laureate of several prestigious international competitions, including the Vianna da Motta (1999), William Kapel (1998), Van Cliburn (1993) and gold medalist of the Montreal International Music Competition (1992), Richard Raymond’s performances are consistently met with overwhelming praise and enthusiasm. He has performed with all the great Canadian orchestras and across Europe, the far East and the Americas as a soloist and chamber musician. A faculty member at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, Mr. Raymond was a recipient of the Canada Council for the Arts’ Virginia Parker Prize (1998) in recognition for his outstanding contributions to Canada’s musical life. For his MPRS debut, Mr. Raymond will play an all-Beethoven concert featuring early, middle and late works by the master of the classical sonata.
