Piith – MTL experimental dark pop
Chris Love x Andi Finlay make nightmare pop. Vox are reedy crystal ringing conscience caterwaul, beats are deep and fat and twinkly and sweet, much like the rotten pomegranate on fire. One guitar is shoegaze of the damned and other guitar is Leonard Cohen’s night terrors. Architects of Concord. Foundational members of HP coven. Play everywhere in Ottawa, Hull, Montreal. “Song of the Neverending Ugly Lizard” came out in 2014, “Sweet Sweet Morning” 2016, LP3 2018.
Novusolis – OTT experimental ambient
Based in Ottawa-Gatineau, Zachary Perron and Amanda Lowe have created a new haven of post-rock in the local scene. Zachary steadily builds the music with his intricately charming electric guitar live loops, while Amanda’s synth swells and voice sways us into a trance. Together, they are haunting, enchanting, and cinematic.
Organ Eyes –
OTT psychedelic garage rock
