May 21 – Victor Avila:
Victor Avila has amassed a wide piano repertoire, playing from baroque to contemporary music. He holds a Diploma in Piano (2011) at Escuela Superior de Música of Culiacán, and completed his Bachelor in Music (2017) at Universidad Veracruzana with honors. His education includes instructors as Rocío Gonzales, Jorge Covarrubias, Jordi Savall, Enrique Solinis, Tim Mckeown, Oscar Tarrago, Claudia Corona, Pamela Vyktoria Pyle, Jan Bratoz, Martin Karlicek, Edgar Dorantes, Gustavo Castro, David Jalbert, Andre Laplante. He won the 2nd price at Naolinco´s National Competition of Chamber Music, and finalist at UdG´s National Piano Competition. Victor Avila played as a soloist with Orquesta Filarmónica de Xalapa in which he was the orchestra pianist for two years. Now, he is pursuing a Master in Music degree at the University of Ottawa under the tutelage of David Jalbert.
