Night of Lights is Ottawa’s first woman only (queer friendly) dance party with a special night on THURSDAYS at Live on Elgin. Now you can enjoy some social hours at Live on Elgin’s beautiful lounge space or dance the night away on the dance floor with DJ Pintal. Doors are at 6pm and admission is 7$. Dj Pintal will be spinning the hottest Top 40 house/hip-hop/EDM mixes on the dance floor.
Night of Lights was created to make a safe space for woman 19+ to dance. (Queer friendly) and we wish to shine light on the different charities in Ottawa that help woman in the community.
On Thursdays at Live on Elgin we will be shining light on Ottawas rape crisis center. The Ottawa Rape Crisis Center (ORCC) is a Canadian organization working to end all forms of sexual violence against women. When the ORCC was founded in 1974 it became the third rape crisis center to operate within Canada. The organization’s philosophy is proactive, anti-racist/anti-oppression and feminist. The Ottawa Rape Crisis Center provides services such as a 24-hour crisis line, counselling services, and a public education program. Counselling services are also available to friends, family members and partners who are supporting a woman who has experienced sexual assault. Proceeds from the event will be donated to them. Together we can make a difference one act of kindness at a time. ❤
Come out and enjoy a drink with some friends and dance to the music of the very talented DJ Pintal and the beautiful woman of Ottawa. Support a good cause and you just might meet the love of your life at the Night of Lights. If you can’t make it Thursday check us out January 25 and club Rainbow.
Live on Elgin is not an accessible venue. There is one flight of stairs to get upstairs to the venue. The washrooms are located on the same floor as the venue and they are accessible. Security guards will be at the front entrance and inside the venue if anyone needs assistance.
Busses/night busses available on Elgin street. Street parking free after 7pm or paid parking lots available near by.
Nights of Lights acknowledges that we are on unsurrendered Algonquin Territory. Although the event is advertised as woman only we welcome all those in the queer community as well.
