CHANELLE ALBERT & THE EASY COMPANY:
Chanelle Albert & The Easy company is a three-piece band based out of Sudbury, ON, led by signer-songwriter and guitarist, Chanelle Albert, along with bassist, Kyle Jobin, and drummer, Ryan McEwen. Their energetic and raw sound takes root from a variety of genres including Rock & Roll, Punk, and the Blues. Chanelle’s debut album How Beautiful We Are, which she released in 2015 at the age of 18, earned her two national award nominations in 2016, including the Toronto Independent Music Awards in the category of Best Folk or Roots, and the Canadian Folk Music Awards in the category of Young Performer of the Year. In 2017, she was among the top 6 finalists from across Canada in the Francophone singer/songwriter competition and TV Series, Planète BRBR on TFO. She has since released a new single titled ‘Alright’, along with the French version, ‘Bien Oui’ in 2018.
It was her closeness to nature and never-ending nights spent around a campfire that inspired Marie-Clo to develop her art. Her alternative pop, with electronic undercurrent and conscious lyrics, showcases her deep love of dance, as well as a mature reflection on the world around her.
In 2017, Marie-Clo Won TFO’s pan-Canadian search for Frnacophone artists Planète BRBR, and was given carte blanche to participate at the Grandby International Song Festival 2018, as wll as at the Petite-Vallée Song Festival 2018. She celebrated the release of her debut EP Faune November 27 2017.
Neha Sin is your local small city slinky acoustic folk musician, with a small black guitar and just the right amount of whimsy!
