With 3 full length albums and one EP already protruding the roof of their discography in unison, Monobrow have shed their riff lashes and shape-shifted their reflection in the form of a brand new concept album. ‘The Nacarat’ is their most ambitious work to date and continues on the progression of monstrously metallic hooks treading with progressive blues and exploding by way of class warfare. Released through their own Trill or be Trilled Records, The Nacarat bridges the gap of instrumental stoner rock and downright lethal doom-laden ecstasy with a trail of fuzz so thick and groovy you’ll forget which side of the brow you reside.
‘The Nacarat’ evoke an opportunity for life versus the prospect of certain death in a battle between mystic and reality. Planetary fate lies in the minds of The Nacarat as Monobrow take you on an epic journey of sci-fi metal meets psychedelic stoner in this shocking saga of riff worship. Monobrow have only just begun their second coming of growth as a band with a captivating twist on their signature sound.
Sharing the stage with Blizaro, Witch Mountain, KEN Mode, Iron Man, and Blood Ceremony, to name a few, Monobrow continue to scorch their mark wherever they perform.
The Dead Centuries:
Ottawa three-piece The Dead Centuries are both futuristic and dangerous…which is as it should be. Influenced by Protest The Hero, Periphery, Paul Gilbert, Sithu Aye and Intervals, The Dead Centuries can easily hold their heads up in such exalted company. In their current form, The Dead Centuries compose and perform technically precise instrumental music, rich in virtuosity, melody, compositional skills, and most importantly…they create superb music to listen to. This isn’t the sound of three musicians showing off their undoubted skills, rather they are serving their songs above all else, with every fiber of their beings, every neuron firing in their minds, every tendon in their bodies. In a sense it is as if the three musicians that make up T he Dead Centuries have become one mind in their own music!
Hailing from Ottawa, Ontario, Destroy Clocks is a dynamic trio that fuses post metal, shoegaze, and progressive sounds. Influenced by bands like Neurosis, Behemoth, and Sonic Youth, Destroy Clocks has carved out a unique style of music that is as heavy as it is serene, and as chaotic as it is beautiful. Through their fusion of heavy guitar, transcendent piano, and precision powerhouse drumming, the trio evokes an array of emotions in their exploration of sound. Destroy Clocks unveiled their unique brand of sound to the world in 2017 with the release of two singles, “Highway Eyes” and “Tinman.” Their first full-length album, “Tarot” will be released in September 2018. Tarot was recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Burniston and Topon Das (Fuck The Facts) with album artwork by Ryan Patterson (Fotocrime, Coliseum).
