Live Music Weekends in March @ Pour House

Friday, March 1 – Le Meow:

Infused with soul and smothered in sass, leMeow is quickly carving out their place in Ottawa’s growing indie scene and capturing the attention of some of Canada’s most respected music critics. Radio broadcaster Alan Cross described their first single Evening Blues as “sultry coolness.”

Friday & Saturday, March 8 & 9 – Silver Creek:

The band’s sound has morphed and matured, their southern-rock roots pinnacled on 2011’s sprawling work “Princes and Kings” and moved from there into something far more unique. Today the songs are much more focused, and give more the feeling of looking forward than looking back. Working with John Chandler and Ken Friesen as producers on new material, the band still believes in and relies on local talent rather than looking beyond the Ottawa valley for the big names and hype spin of other cities.

Friday & Saturday, March 15 & 16 – The Liam Lloyd Band:

After noticing a strong creative chemistry while working with Eggleston, Lloyd decided to join forces once again with the up-and-coming Ottawa producer on his next musical exploit. After a whirlwind year in 2012, including a dash down to Los Angeles and an impromptu drive to Tijuana, Against The Sun, Lloyd’s eight-song sophomore endeavour, was unleashed in early November. The music video for the first single, Medicine In Music, was then published on the striding heels of the record, and can be seen on the Official Liam Lloyd YouTube Channel!

Friday & Saturday, March 22 & 23 – Highway Sunrise:

Highway Sunrise is a Pop Rock/Country cover group from Ottawa Ontario and is one of the top event bands in the city. Rooted by their influences and delivering the best hits in pop, rock and country music with songs dating back from the 50’s to today’s hottest music.

Friday & Saturday, March 29 & 30 – The Strangers:

What started out as the Coat Racks, turned into The Strangers! Cole and his cousin Max (formerly the lead guitarist) put up an ad for a bass player. Seb ended up auditioning and the chemistry was felt instantly along with Dave Ledoux who brought some wicked drum ability to the mix. With Max moving out to B.C, we needed a guitarist. Pat joined the band, not having practiced once with us, he took the stage at Patty Boland’s with the rest of the guys and we never looked back.
