ilvekyo; pronounced ill-veck-yo was founded in 2011 by Mason Quesnel when he went into studio to record songs with long-time friend Eric Eggleston of Johnny Hall Productions. Mason tracked most of the instruments himself and with the help of some friends completed his first album, and uploaded a single called “The Good” to YouTube. Since then, ilvekyo has seen several line-up changes and sounds but one thing remains and will always remain true; the songs are honest, fun and full of life and there will always be Mason. ilvekyo is currently completing and releasing their 3rd album with help from Justin Trudeau, Nick Gabroussenok, Samantha Timmins and Rob Milicevic as a backing band on the album and contributors to the structure of the music.
Friday & Saturday, March 15 & 16 – Adam Kavanagh
Friday & Saturday, March 22 & 23- Trevor James
Friday & Saturday, March 29 & 30 – Julie Corrigan:
Julie grew up on a farm along the Ottawa River. On The Language Julie taps into these romantic whispers of her past, including stories of heartache, loss, tragedy, and a longing for going home. Heading into the studio with nothing but the words and melodies written on her acoustic guitar, Dave Draves put his magical and creative talents into developing a sound for the record. The result is an exquisite blend of roots, country, soul, pop, and something else in between.
