SWITCHED ON SYNTHS: Electro-Organic Edition
For Esme:(TO Electro-Organic Dream Pop)
FOR ESMÉ is not you average indie pop band. Nathan Crook & Dave Thiel (both highly accomplished musicians) perform on traditional instruments backed by skillfully programmed trax while Martha Meredith’s unmistakable dreamy voice physical levitates the listener. Follow this talented ensemble as they dig deeper into the synth zone.
Saxsyndrum: (MTL Experimental Jazz Drone)
This eccentric Montreal duo creates powerful experiential music that blurs the line between analog instrumentation and digital production. Featuring live saxophone and drums, and playing with enough electronics to launch a spaceship. Jaw dropping live show. Prepare to be freaked out!
Infinity’s Astrum: (Live Synthetic Modular)
Nick Doyle is back performing not-of-this-world instrumental compositions on his Eurorack Modular Synthesizer. Each piece on ASCENT 1, INFINITY’S ASTRUM’s debut album, was performed and recorded in one cut — no overdubs and no editing other than light mastering. What you hear is what comes directly from the synth as it’s being played.
