MEGAPHONO presents

Marie-Hélène L. Delorme is a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Montreal. Performing under the moniker FOXTROTT, Delorme draws from a uniquely eclectic musical DNA without being tethered to any one genre. The result is an accessible yet deeply personal production style made up of rich, off-centre sounds, earthy beats and shimmering percussions, paired with her warm, forthright vocals and imbued with an unmistakably cinematic feel. Delorme’s forthcoming project Meditations I-II-III follows her Polaris Prize nominated debut ‘A Taller Us’, and arrives at a time when her parallel pursuits in composition for film/TV, producing and songwriting are converging like never before.

Keynes Woods:

Keynes Woods is a Toronto based rapper, vocalist and songwriter born in Kinshasa, DRC in 1995.
Whether its wooing your girlfriend over R&B hooks, making your favourite Soundcloud rapper reconsider their career choice with his lyrical ability or painting lucid imagery for his listeners with his storytelling it’s hard not be impressed by Keynes’ talent and refreshing sound. Mellow, introspective and bathed in honesty his music is made to feel.
He released his first song in 2015, followed by numerous singles as well as an EP online in 2016. Refining his craft he closed out 2016 with the release of the singles ‘Kirikou’ a clear statement of intent to the rap game, ‘Dream Girl’ an ethereal melodic number, he smashed 2017 with the release of ‘Shoot Your Shot, blazed through with an energetic performance of ‘THREAT’ on COLORS at the top of 2018 along with a slew of other releases, he’s finishing off 2018 in style with a boatload of releases scheduled, he’s got a some surprises in store for fans.

Canadian based duo Garçons, consisting of singer/ songwriter ‘Deelo’ and record producer/ director ‘ Julian Strangelove’ first met in 2014, but hadn’t seriously got in the studio together until the summer of 2017. A self-taught singer who moved to Canada from Nigeria, Deelo’s style, range and uniqueness are what motivated Julian Strangelove, a record producer inspired by the likes of Pharrell, Q-Tip and Dr. Dre, to pursue the idea of working with him. Together, they aspired to defy the conventional idea of making “genre-specific” music, which had always felt limiting to them. The result is their debut EP ‘Body Language’, a seamless blend of seven groovy, funky, colorful love songs that are sure to make you feel good.

Lex Leosis:

A unique part of Toronto’s Hip Hop community for over 9 years, Lex Leosis is an emcee you can’t possibly forget. Her charismatic presence mixed with her abrasive lyricism has already given her a notable spot in the local and international Hip Hop scene. With three North American tours under her belt, Lex rocks any stage with high energy, inclusive crowd involvement and effortless delivery. Lex has a decorated career in rap competitions and cyphers, including “The International Women’s Day Cypher” which garnered millions of online views, and positive reviews from many notable publications such as; Noisey, The Fader, CBC, Complex and more. Following this success, Lex co-created Toronto’s all-female supergroup, The Sorority. They have since been on a tear of festival stages and line-ups, opening for the likes of: Joey Bada$$, DVSN, Miguel, Isaiah Rashad, Jidenna, A-Trak and more. Lex is respected by the community both on and off the stage. Despite already taking on a mentorship role in the hip hop community, teaching as a lead facilitator for youth programs like Emcee Wreckshop and BAM! Toronto Youth slam, she is still an eager student at heart, with a healthy and genuine respect for the history, art, and spirituality of Hip Hop. Perhaps most famous for her dynamic flows, aggressive stage presence and elaborate story-telling – Lex Leosis continues to prove herself through the perfection of her craft. It’s only a matter of time before she is a household name.
