The UESA is so happy to be featuring two incredibly passionate performers at our next edition of blUe mOnday!
This month our featured poet is the incredible….IAN MARTIN! Ian Martin is like a lemon: round, lumpy, and bitter. Ian’s work has appeared recently in Half a Grapefruit Magazine, Train, where is the river, Plenitude Magazine, Bad Nudes, and Pretty Owl Poetry. Ian has published 4 chapbooks, most recently YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO KEEP THIS UP FOREVER (AngelHousePress, 2018) and PLACES TO HIDE (Coven Editions, 2018). [ www.ian-martin.net ] We look forward to having him perform.
Then we are pleased to present our musical performers, UGLY FUNKLING! Ugly Funkling is an experimental groove/funk band from Cornwall Ontario, whose influences include jazz, soul, and hip hop. We can’t wait to hear some amazing music from this group.
As usual, there will be an open mic portion to the show: get there at 8:30 pm to sign up to read. The event is free, as always, but make sure to tip your bartender well! Invite all your friends because we can’t wait to see you there!
