Moore has received numerous awards and accolades including being named “Artist of the Year” and “Folk Artist of the Year” at the 2011 Niagara Music Awards. Additionally, she has garnered two Toronto Independent Music Award Nominations, and was the winner of the CBC “Expand your Bandwidth” competition, receiving over 70,000 votes.
Lora Bidner is a compelling singer-songwriter and film composer living in Toronto. She has recently won the 1st Prize SOCAN Canadian Young Audio-Visual Composers Award for her original score written for the animation short Missing by Stephanie Chewy (2016) and her original song “3,000 Volts” has been nominated for the 15th annual Independent Music Award in the category of “Story Song”. Her critically acclaimed 9 track 2015 album To The North touches on themes of human pathos, self discovery and folklore and includes styles of music from atmospheric haunt-folk in the vein of Fever Ray to electronic-pop in the vein of Florence and the Machine. Hosting two sold out album release parties in Ottawa and Toronto, To the North received radio play on CBC radio 1 and attention from media outlets such as Exclaim!, Huffington Post, Ottawa Showbox, Apt 613 and more.
